About UsHRCF assists children and youth in Rwanda who suffer from poverty as a result of the 1994 genocide by providing funds to pay for school fees, books, school supplies, lodging and incidental medical care.
HRCF funds the education or primary, secondary students as well as university students through its agency agreement with the Tumurere Foundation. It provides information to Canadians through forums, films and discussion nights. Tumurere is a non profit charitable Rwandan organization dedicated to alleviating the poverty of families. They are partnered with both Hope for Rwanda's Children Fund and Handicap International. Their projects include supporting children to attend school, trauma counselling, and fighting gender based violence and discrimination. They also help Rwandans in need develop income generating projects. |
